SMP 2012

Summer Mission Project 2012 will take place in Avery County, NC, about an hour east of Johnson City, TN, and about 45 minutes west of Boone, NC.

We will be working primarily with Avery County Habitat for Humanity but also with several other local ministries in the area.

We will be staying at the Candlestick Retreat Center in Minneapolis, NC. It is run by the Minneapolis Baptist Church and has bunk beds for 70 people, showers, cafeteria/kitchen and gym.

The cost is $300 per person ($250 for each additional family member), due by May 31. We will donate $100 per person to Avery County Habitat. The rest will be used for trip expenses such as the retreat center rental, food, vans, t-shirts, etc. Participants are strongly encouraged to fundraise all or part of the registration fee from family and friends.
