Based on the success of last year's Winter Mission Project in Charleston, another trip has been scheduled for January 2007! This trip is open to anyone college age or older who has participated in at least one Mission Project trip with Lewinsville.
Participants will depart on Monday, January 1 or Tuesday, January 2 (depending on flight availability and cost) and return the evening of Saturday, January 6. Work days will be January 3-6.
The annual holiday bake sale (Sunday, December 10) will be the sole fundraiser for this trip. All participants will be expected to staff the bake sale table and provide home-baked items to sell.
We will be coordinating accommodations, meals and contruction work with Habitat for Humanity in Jacksonville FL - where our own Sommer Gottke will be working with the AmeriCorps team!
Leave your registration checks ($150 made payable to Lewinsville Presbyterian Church) in the SMP box in the volunteer room at church, or mail them to Linda Bender at: 10300 Bushman Drive, 302, Oakton, VA 22124.
Registration opens August 14 and ends October 8. Your registration fee must be received by then, as well, in order for your registration to be confirmed.
