The Winter Mission Project is open to college age youth and adults.
Participants will depart on Monday afternoon, January 4 from BWI Airport and return to BWI Airport on Saturday evening, January 9.
Work days will be Tuesday through Saturday, coordinated through New Orleans Habitat for Humanity (where Forrest Gottke is currently part of their AmeriCorps team).
The registration fee is $275 per person - which includes airfare and accommodations/meals at HandsOn New Orleans. Financial assistance is available - please contact Linda Bender for confidential details.
Proceeds from the annual holiday bake sale (Sunday, December 13) will help defray the cost of the remaining expenses. All participants who will be in town that day are asked to help staff the bake sale table and provide home-baked items to sell.
Checks (made payable to Lewinsville Presbyterian Church) must be received by October 31 in order to confirm airline reservations. Please leave them in the SMP box in the volunteer room at church, or mail them to Linda Bender at: 10300 Bushman Drive, #302, Oakton, VA 22124.
